FFT you can include adult themes, but it can be degraded by its immature shell (I say FFT woulda been better with a Vagrant Story look. Especially considering how uncommon adult themed scenarios are in JRPGs and SRPGs, especially artistically. Even legendary SRPGs like FFTactics feels childish and basic compared to FM2. The ingame cutscenes and presentation are really ahead of its time, especially when you see so much detail and effects that put even the most modern ambitious games to shame in vision, intellect, tastefulness, and scope. and thats not even a fraction of FM2's brilliance! In all the generations of games, I have never encountered such an intricate theme and mystery, woven within a window color selection of all things. Even with something so simple, there are hints of genius behind the surface. like each color can have words such as "your eyes", "my eyes", "your hair", "my hair", "your voice", "my voice". While the CG opening is not action packed, it still is eye candy and really conveys a unique atmosphere with deeper and darker themes.Īlso one of the interesting things about the window color options, is that 15 of the colors have words in them, and in sequence, they seem to be almost like a poem or hidden message. each FM has its strengths and things it does better than others (would like veteran opinions of FM1, I know about that game the least). and yes while FM5 is said to be the best by some, that is rather opinion based. Having experience beating Front Mission 3 (Emma and Alisa scenarios), and Front Mission 4, Front Mission 2 has a lot of qualities that the other numbered FMs lack. Now this is instantly feeling like a masterpiece. though recently I got Front Mission 2, Front Mission Alternative, Dragon Force remake and Phantasy Star remake! While importing tends to deal with playing with foreign text, these games are actually in fact adaptable and still great to play even despite the language barrier, plus some have some english included!įront Mission 2. I got lots of games from Japan PSN Store including rare ports like Valis, Valis II, Rival Schools 2, SaGa Frontier, Advanced Variable Geo 1 and 2, Bushido Blade 2. Hi! So I went on a spending spree using Japan PSN account on PS3, and its rather easy to find the PS One and PS2 sections of games there.
